Charlevoix is located in Northern Michigan, USA. About 40 minutes drive north from Traverse City, MI and 5 hours drive north from Detroit.

Pronounced “Shar-la-Voy” and known as “Charlevoix the Beautiful”, the city of Charlevoix is perched on an isthmus between Lake Michigan and Round Lake, spreading out onto the shores of Lake Charlevoix. The population of the city is about 3,000, which swells to an estimated 30,000 in the summer.

The area is known for its annual cultural festivals and events centred on the lakes, and is a very popular area with the pleasure-boating community.
